Want to be the difference

How Can I Volunteer?

Every year, Matthew’s Hope logs 50,000 volunteer hours.laundry2
From our beginning in 2010, we have been able to provide services to so many because of our volunteers. Begin by completing our volunteer application.
Our primary volunteer day is Tuesday, where men, women and children can help:

  • sort and catalogue donations

  • launder the clothes of homeless guests

  • cook and serve lunch

  • serve as an advocate to help set goals with homeless guests

  • stock and distribute food in the “Garden of Eatin’ Pantry”

  • distribute donated items to those in need

  • talk and pray with guestsemployment-certificate

  • teach a class on fighting addictions or job training

  • cut hair

  • get government assistance for homeless guests

  • wash and detail vehicles

Other days of the week, volunteers can:

  • weed, plant and harvest fruits and vegetables in our onsite Garden of Hope

  • teach Bible study (Thursday afternoon and Thursday evening)

  • write grant requests

  • research and write articles for our website and magazine
