Our Mission Statement

Mission-Driven.

Scripture-Called.

"Matthew's Hope Ministries is a ministry, first and foremost, demonstrating the love, hope, grace and mercy of Jesus Christ in all we do, and a facilitator of opportunity for those desiring to move forward into a life of independence and self-sustainability."

That is a bunch of fancy words.  So, what does all that mean?

"Matthew's Hope Ministries is a ministry, first and foremost, . . ." - The mission statement of Matthew's Hope Ministries guides each staff member, volunteer, donor, supporter, Board member and community member to serve the unique needs of each individual who is "structurally challenged" in west Orange County.  Meet them where they are.  Love them as Christ would.  Just as the clear guidance of Matthew 25: 35-40 guides all of humanity to do so.  An unabashed, faith-based ministry.

That said, this ministry serves those who seek support at two distinct levels, rooted in their hopes and desires for their life.

". . . demonstrating the love, hope, grace and mercy of Jesus Christ in all we do, . . ." - Each person who arrives for Tuesday Ministries Services Day has the opportunity to have their most basic needs met, while also experiencing the Love of Christ through the caring touch of many dedicated volunteers and staff members.

This love, hope, grace and mercy is shared with only one stipulation:  respect.  Respect for others while under the care of the ministry is the singular rule abided by all.

". . . and a facilitator of opportunity for those desiring to move forward into a life of independence and self-sustainability." - For those who choose to pursue something greater in this life, and are willing to work to achieve it, the ministry walks alongside each of them . . . men, women, families . . . helping them help themselves while building a strong foundation for their future.  This is the essence of the Moving Forward Program.
